LAUNCH DAY! 6

Welcome to Missiologically Thinking, and the first official post.  I have been prayerfully considering this day for some time.

I’m usually a late adopter.  While I did shave off my mullet in the 1980s, ask me some time to tell you how long it took me to start doing email.

Over three years ago, I started NorthAmericanMissions.org, posting articles, links, reviews, and podcasts on a regular basis, regarding missiological matters on this continent.  I am very thankful for the number of people who frequent the site, including those from about 35 countries every month. 

When Matt “the great” Jones designed the site, he asked me if I wanted to start blogging at that time.  My response was, “No way!  Blogs are for ego-manics–I’ll podcast.”  🙂 

Obviously, there is still a great deal of bad stuff out there, but over the past three years, the Lord has revealed to me that there are a great many blogs beneficial for the Kingdom.  I hope and pray that Missiologically Thinking will become one of those beneficial sites.

And a special word of thanks goes to Matt Pierce for helping me design this blog. 

Will you still be constantly updating NorthAmericanMissions.org?

Yes.  I plan to continue to post my newsletters, weekly podcasts, articles, reviews, and new links at the site.  In fact, you will be able to see the most recent podcasts on the right.  And you can subscribe to these feeds or go directly to the links.  Lord willing, NorthAmericanMissions.org will continue to expand. 

Why this blog?

Missiologically Thinking will allow me to continue to address issues facing the advancement of the Kingdom in North America.  However, I will not be limiting this blog to North American missiological issues. 

Also, over the years there have been numerous articles, resources, etc. I wanted to pass along, but was unable because I did not have the capabilities. 

Spread the Word

So, please spread the word to those you know who would benefit from this new site!  My personal goal is to update the blog very often.  What does that mean? More times than once every six months–as with some blogs–and not as much as several times a day.  😉

Upcoming NEW Evangelical Study 4 U

Check back in the next day or two.  I am preparing to release a major study that I just completed on the concentrations of Evangelicals in U. S. states, and selected counties, cities, and Canadian provinces and evangelical churches to population ratios.  I am giving away an extensive PowerPoint presentation and report that I believe will be beneficial to you, your church, and denomination, especially when it comes to developing church planting strategies.
