Since the data from the 2010 census are being rolled out to the world, I wanted to share with you a very informative map from the Census Bureau. I tweeted this a week or two ago.
Below you will see an interactive map, showing the population change in the United States over the past 100 years. It also reveals the growth among the country’s various regions as well as in the individual states. You can also observe information related to the population density and apportionment related to the seats in the House of Representatives.
Check it out. I think you will find it to be a helpful resource in gaining a better understanding of the context in which you are called to serve.
It would probably be the most helpful if you click on the “full screen” box in the upper right-hand corner.
So, how does such information assist you and your church in better engaging the peoples of the United States with the gospel?
Greetings,
I am the Cluster Leader for Brazil (IMB) and follow you on Twitter and your newsletter. Great Stuff. I appreciate you fresh and usually different perspective. Just a question. When will your EVANGELISM book be on Kindle for download. Being overseas, that is where I get most of my books.
Bruce McBee, Missionary with the IMB since 1990.
Thanks, Bruce for the comment, and encouragement.
My publisher just told me that the download should be ready in a week.
Keep up the great work in the South!
Take care.
