Neighbors to the Nations 3

On Sunday I had the honor of speaking to the great group of people known as Boone’s Creek Baptist Church in Lexington, Kentucky.  They were having their annual “Neighbors to the Nations” event.  I am thankful for the pastor, Dr. Matthew Perry and his heart to reach others with the gospel.

I want to provide you with my PowerPoint presentation (HERE) that I shared with the church.  I trust you will find it useful it helping lead others in missional labors among the world’s unreached peoples living in the United States and Canada.  HERE is the audio file (starts at 5 min.) as well.

The United States is the world’s largest migrant receiving nation–absorbing 20% of the world’s annual international migrants.  While Canada receives a much smaller percentage (3%), she also has a much smaller population and a greater percentage of her present residents are non-Canadian born.

As you think missiologically about engaging the peoples of these two nations, you’ll want to compare the following slides noting:

• the implications of Acts 17:26-27 on our present realities
  
• the estimated number of UPGs in the U. S. and Canada
• the countries of the world with the highest number of UPGs
• the international students and refugees by countries of birth coming to the U. S.

I think these slides will help you to understand that some of the least reached reside in North America.  And those who reside here have social networks extending across the globe to other UPGs.
