Brace yourself.
Whenever you approach your pastor, network, association, district, mission agency, or peers, they will share in your excitement, but are unlikely to know what to do with you.
If you had told them you wanted to reach the unreached in India, Indonesia, Iran, or Iraq, they would have known immediately where to point you for direction, resources, networking, coaching, and training. But, you told them you wanted to reach an unreached people group in Indiana (or Iqaluit).
They will rejoice with you.
They will pray for you.
And when you ask them for guidance, you will likely get the deer in the headlights look.
We know missions. . . over there.
Do we really know missions. . . over here?
Maybe what we think we know, we really do not know.
