A 95% increase since 2006. That is the growth of the foreign-born population in Buffalo, New York. Buffalo is a medium-sized U. S. city. Gone are the days when migrants landed and remained in the largest cities.
And since 2003, 10,000 refugees alone have relocated to this city. The majority of these are from Myanmar, Somalia, and Bhutan–countries home to many unreached people groups. Check out NPR’s story on this migration.
And what else do we know about Buffalo? The metro area is under 6% evangelical. So, not only do we have a city with unreached people groups, but those groups are living in one of the least-reached areas of the country.
Now, who is going to Buffalo?
