I am pleased to share my next book, Understanding Evangelism: Biblical Foundations, Historical Developments, Contemporary Applications, is now available for pre-order. It is scheduled to be released in September 2025. As of now, I have been able to locate the lowest price (30% off) at the publisher’s web site. However, check Amazon too, as their prices are always fluctuating.
This is a comprehensive work. It is written for a diverse audience and considers the global application of the gospel beyond the U. S. context. Thoroughly evangelical, I also address definitions and historical matters related to Mainline, Catholic, and Orthodox traditions. The biblical and theological sections expose readers to Wesleyan-Arminian, Reformed-Calvinist, and Molinist views. Evangelism is understood as a work that is consists of crossing cultural gaps with the good news–whether those gaps are found one’s home or on the other side of the world. Though the work trends toward the practical, it does not teach one contemporary evangelism model.
I have posted below the Table of Contents from the unpublished manuscript for an overview.
I do hope you will get a copy, post a review of it at Amazon, and/or write a review for a journal.
My professor friends: Would you please consider using this as a textbook? Exam copies are available through Baker Academic. If you use it, I would love to know! What questions do you have about the book?
